On November 9, iFlytek Co Ltd. held a 2017 press conference to launch their latest product of AI including speech analysis, speech recognition, medical imaging, etc.

In the conference, a historic news was released that iFlytek's AI-enabled robot has passed the written test of China's national medical licensing examination, an essential entrance exam for doctors, making it the first robot in the world to pass such an exam. It scored 456 points with a maximum score of 600, 96 points higher than the required marks. However, there’s only 50% passing rate by graduate student.

The artificial-intelligence-enabled robot can automatically capture and analyze patient information and make initial diagnosis. It will be used to assist doctors to improve efficiency in future treatments, instead of meaning to replace doctors.

They will officially launch the robot in March 2018. The Hefei, Anhui province-based company is conducting a pilot project with the Anhui Provincial Hospital to see how the AI robot can assist doctors in real medical cases.
